About Us and Our History
We were created in April 1, 1965 with over 100 union members. Our plantation covers 45 Hectares with actual tea varieties of Yabu Kita species, which is Shizuoka Prefecture's famous product.
The Honji belongs to the eastern part of Shizuoka Prefecture, this ancient tea production area is blessed with its natural conditions, it is bound with the sacred mountain, Fuji in the north, overlooking Suruga Bay with swirling warm currents in the south, and the Fuji River, one of Japan's three major rapids. The sound of the river currents in the west and of Suruga Bay is an idyllic place for sight seeing and hiking for those who want to get away from it all.
